Dr. Gupta is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with sub-specialty training and expertise in shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery. His practice primarily focuses on shoulder surgery and complex reconstructive surgery. As a member of the prestigious American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, he was recruited to Creighton University and CommonSpirit Health to lead the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and develop an orthopaedic residency. He has a particular interest in shoulder replacement and minimally invasive/arthroscopic surgery.
Dr. Gupta is concerned and attentive, always asking me if I had further concerns and questions. He performed a very intricate and delicate, dangerous reconstruction of my shoulder.
Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical procedure for conditions and injuries involving the bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and muscles of the shoulder joint.
Total shoulder replacement surgery is performed to relieve symptoms of severe shoulder pain and disability due to arthritis. In this surgery, the damaged articulating parts of the shoulder joint are removed and replaced with artificial prostheses.
The purpose of this study was to describe the outcomes after operative repair of ballistic femoral neck fractures. To better highlight the devastating nature of these injuries, we compared a cohort of ballistic femoral neck fractures to a cohort of young, closed, blunt-injury femoral neck fractures treated with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF).
